The Garnet Valley Color Guard is a dynamic and welcoming group that combines movement, music, and visual performance into one exciting activity!

WHAT IS COLOR GUARD?
- Color Guard performers bring music to life through choreography and the use of flags, along with specialized performance equipment like rifles and sabres. (These are non-functional props designed for visual effect, dramatic tosses, and artistic expression.)

- During the fall, the Color Guard performs as an essential part of the Garnet Valley Marching Band at football games, competitions, and community events. In the winter and spring, students have the opportunity to participate in our competitive Indoor Color Guard program, where they continue to develop their skills and perform in regional competitions.

- Beyond performance, Color Guard is a great way to meet new friends, build confidence, improve coordination, and be part of a supportive team.

WHO CAN JOIN?
Open to all Garnet Valley students in grades 8–12.  BEGINNERS WELCOME - no experience necessary.  Our instructional staff will teach you everything step by step.
